A bit tired of driving every summer more than ten hours to the Romanian sea side and taking advantage of a direct flight from Sibiu, for our 2022 summer vacation we headed to Corfu, a beautiful and small Greek Island, to enjoy the sun, the sea and some quality family time.

A trip in South Italy was planned for a few years now, but for different reasons, we only got to make it happen this May. We chose a small area of the Calabria region for a one week vacation, rented a car and drove all around the “toe” of the Italian boot.
4000 kilometers and 15 days of exploring and experiencing what this country is all about. The trip started with a mixture of ideas, feelings, emotions and it ended with an even bigger mixture of all mentioned above. But at least, in the end, some of my questions got the answers I was hoping for. Sometimes, maybe, I got more answers than needed, but it was helpful in getting a more clear view of the reality surrounding South Africa.
