Since I really enjoyed watching ‘Adam’s Apples’ and ‘Flickering Lights’ , last night I decided to watch another Anders Thomas Jensen movie, called The Green Butchers. It was a good movie, but I can’t say I liked it as much as I liked the other two.

In the same ironical and a bit sadistic style, it’s a movie about two friends who decide to open a butcher shop and start cooking using a rather unorthodox method. Good humor, good characters, but I think it was a bit too predictable.  And critics say that this is Jenses’s best movie so far.

I might say, after watching these three movies, a minus for Jensen is that using the same actors for the three of them can be rather confusing. Sometimes I saw Mads Mikkelsen as a priest, other times I saw him as a thief and criminal, although this time he was a butcher.
