Mannequin label from Rome release the “Summer, Jesus” LP by Soviet Soviet, first released on Tannen Records. This post punk LP is a burning mix of new wave and dark geometric linear reflections.
Someone said experience makes it better. We couldn’t agree more. We’re talking about Soviet Soviet that after a couple of EP’s released their last work called “Summer, Jesus”. It’s become an extended play that is able to give you what you need for starting or ending your day surrounded by well used delays, reverbers and just like in their first works some energetic drums preserving their original sound of pure experimental Post-punk.
The EP contains 6 tunes and “Human Nature” was its first single or at least the preview of the EP before seeing the light. If we need to talk about the influences it is kind of complicated to offer you some (and that’s what we love of them) because the band just sounds like Soviet Soviet and nowone else. [domestica]
