The weekend that has just passed was one of those weekends that made me think to myself : ‘Boy, am I happy that summer started in May this year!’ We went camping for two days on the Moaşa Valley, a small river, somewhere 30 kilometers far from Sibiu and had a lovely weather and a great time.

On Saturday there wasn’t too much action for us, just relax in the sun, play football, have some barbecue and at night play the guitar around a warm fire near the tents.

On Sunday we decided to have a trip up the mountains, to see the Moaşa Waterfalls. From where we had our tents, the trip took us about 1 hour, but normally it takes about 2 hours from the closest village, Sebesu De Sus. The path is marked by a red circle sign and it has a medium difficulty, so you should wear adequate mountain equipment.

The path follows the river Moaşa until you get to the Waterfalls. You walk only in the forest so it’s actually very enjoyable as the trees keep the temperature cool and the sun can’t reach you.

Reaching the waterfalls is just mesmerizing. I was happy to see that such a beautiful place can be reached so fast and easily. You can’t hear yourself talking because of the water, but you feel like breathing a fresher air and you can’t take your eyes off this lovely creation of nature.
