We visited the Valea Cetatii Cave when we went to the Rasnov Citadel and the Rasnov Fortified Church. It’s a cave that was only opened for visitors in 2011, but that was discovered about 60 years ago.

It’s not a very big cave, it’s only about 900m long, but it does have some impressive stalagmites and stalactites, and quite a tall main room (that can get to almost 40m tall).

What I really liked about this cave is that is very well maintained. It’s easy to access it, you have a guide that will give a 30 minutes tour presenting the highlights, good light so you can see what’s around you.

The cave is open for visiting everyday from 10AM to 7PM and the ticket costs about 10 lei. From time to time, there are music concerts inside the cave, which are communicated on the official website.
