Traveling in 2015
2015 is almost ending and it’s time again to take a look back and see what we’ve been up to the whole year. As we started a more important journey in our lives at the beginning of the year, travelling had a bit to suffer, but still we managed to have some very nice escapes and discover new and absolutely amazing places. So for all you, pregnant women, in the mood to travel, I confirm, it’s possible 🙂
We started in January with some hicking around Sibiu. Last winter was just amazing, with lots of snow, so it offered us the chance to enjoy it to the maximum.
SHORT HIKING TRIP AROUND CISNĂDIOARA
JUST A SHORT TRIP TO THE BÂLEA WATERFALLS
We also took a two days trip to the Lonely Stone, which was a very nice and relaxing experience. Unfortunately, the weather was not so good to allow us to reach the peak, but there will be for sure a next time.
WINTER HIKING TO THE LONELY STONE (PIATRA SINGURATICÄ‚)
While in the area, we also took the chance to visit the Praid Salt Mine.
In February, around Valentine’s Day we went on a city break in Athens, Greece. History, culture and good food made our trip just perfect!
While there, we also took a one day trip to one of the nearby islands, just to have a quick glimpse of the Athenian surroundings.
GOING ON A ISLAND IN WINTER : AEGINA
In May we finally had the time to visit our friends living in Chesterfield, UK and we combined our vacation there with visiting the Chatsworth House and London.
As I already said in the London post, this was not my favorite place by far, but at least now I can say we visited this huge city as well.
In June we had our summer vacation and it was one of the best so far! Beautiful places, great weather, amazing food, and excellent company… 10 days of relaxation and good time!
We started our trip in Malaga, as last year.
and then visited Seville and Cordoba
And for the last 5 days of the trip, we rested on the beautiful beaches of the amazing Algarve region in Portugal.
ALGARVE – THE EUROPEAN EXOTIC DESTINATION
We also had a nice weekend at the Suru Chalet and the Cozia Chalet during summer. And yes, I was almost 7 months pregnant and I was able to hike for two days without any problems.
We also went to the Romanian sea side three times this year, a new record for us! It’s a long way from Sibiu, but it’s great for a 3-4 days vacation if you’re not allowed to fly with a plane anymore.
The end of the year was very quiet, as we had the little baby coming and that basically got us very, very busy 🙂 But 2016 is already starting to shape up in terms of travelling, as we already booked flights for Stockholm, Dublin and Croatia. New year, new places, new experiences! I hope you will all get them!
