Our first day in Georgia started very, very early, after a night flight that landed in the Tbilisi Airport somewhere around 4 AM. We picked our car, got a Georgian SIM card and officially started our one week road trip with a proper sunrise.

I never say No to a trip to Italy, as it still is, in my perspective, the perfect destination in Europe to have everything you wish for – history, culture, superb urban and rural destinations, sea and mountains, green fields and scenic routes, amazing gastronomy, so much good wine and lots of sun (the last one a bit debatable in the recent years with all the global warming).

Our third day of the road trip in Lithuania had as a final destination the Baltic Sea. We were hoping to have a good weather and do some swimming and relax on the beach, but we had a rather cranky day, with clouds, a bit of rain on the way and some quite heavy wind when we finally got to Palanga in the afternoon.

Our second day of visiting Lithuania started after the electronic music festival we attended. As we were still recovering a bit, it was a short day, with just a few stops. Also the weather was not the ideal one, with clouds and a bit of rain, considering that what we had planned for this day was to stay mostly outdoor.

It’s not the first time we’re in France, we’ve been to Paris several times, but for some reason (mostly because Paris is so big and touristic and it tends to lose its personal and authentic touch) we never fell in love with Paris. But France deserves at least a second chance and thanks to a music concert we wanted to attend, here we are in Toulouse for a very short city break.

We’ve been to Suru so many times now, that we’re considering of calling it our second home, up in the mountains. We always enjoy the time spent there and after a perfect New Year’s Eve, we planned another weekend here at the beginning of spring, hoping to see the crocus flowers in full blossom.

Italy is and always has been one of our favorite countries in Europe and every time we get the chance to visit it again, we’re always eager to get there and breathe the vibrant, but relaxing air that this country has. Rich history and culture, beautiful architecture and landscapes, incredibly tasty and diverse gastronomy, everything that a traveler needs to feel the true vibe of a new place.
