At the beginning of September we took over the Suru Chalet in the Făgăraș Mountains and turned it into the headquarters of one of the coolest events we have been to this year. The 3 days spent there evolved around a old shepherd’s recipe that takes a lot of time to prepare and a lot of team work to get to the final result.
I think autumn was the season we never got the chance to go hiking and after this trip, I’m still deciding which season I like more for hiking – spring with everything turning green and so many flowers, summer with its clear skies and mild weather, autumn with the forest full of burgundy tones or winter with its never ending snow.
Finally back on the ridge of these beautiful Romanian Mountains. This trip was so much planned, that just a few days before I wasn’t even so sure we would actually make it happen. But in the end it did happen and it was probably one of the most beautiful and amazing hiking trips we had ever.

Once a Moroccan guy said to a Romanian guy : Romania is where the Heaven is! You have water, green trees and women. Well, after last weekend and a trip in the Carpathians I have to admit that yes, Romania is a piece of Heaven.
