I finally got to my last post on Krakow, which was a very nice trip for 2013, the city getting to impress me much more than initially expected.
When visiting Krakow, we took a day to go to Wieliczka (a village close to Krakow), where is one of the oldest and biggest salt mines in Europe. With a length of about 300 km, the mine was built in the 13th century and has actively extracted salt until 2007, being one of the oldest mines still in operation.
Going to Krakow means that you have to have one day to go to the Auschwitz Concentration Camp. Somewhere 60 kilometers from Krakow, you can easily get there by bus from the main bus station.
Krakow happened in October 2013 because of the Unsound Festival. What seemed to be just a music trip, turned out to be a one of a kind vacation.
